Who will be required to have a meal plan?
All residents living on-campus, with the exception of those living in the Buccaneer Ridge Apartments, will be part of a residential dining experience through the 7-Day Anytime Silver Dining Plan. Residents living on-campus for at least four semesters can request to change to the 5-Day Anytime or 15 Meal Limited Dining Plan, or may decline a plan. Residents of Buccaneer Ridge Apartments and commuters may opt into any of the Dining/Block Plans.
Who can have a meal plan?
We have meal plans available to all students on and off campus, as well as faculty and staff meal plans.
How do I sign-up for a meal plan?
Students living in residence halls will receive information about meal plans via their ETSU email, and information will be posted on the housing website at www.etsu.edu/students/housing/dining.php. Students living in residence halls are automatically enrolled in the 7 Day Silver Meal Plan. Buccaneer Ridge residents and commuter students may purchase a Block or Anytime Plan by requesting an application from housing@etsu.edu.
How do I pay for my meal plan?
Students will have the fee for their meal plan placed on their student Goldlink account (like tuition and fees). Faculty and Staff may pay for their meal plan upfront, or request payroll deduction.
What is a meal considered?
A “Meal” is a single swipe to enter the dining hall for breakfast, lunch, and dinner or at selected other times.
What are guest meals?
Guest meals function exactly like a regular meal at the student’s discretion. In most instances, guest meals are used to treat visiting friends and family to a meal in the dining hall.
How do I use my meal plan?
All of your meal plan information is placed on your student ID card and must be presented at each dining location where your meal plan or dining dollars are used. There is no worry of carrying cash around campus!
Can I change my meal plan?
Depending on the student’s Meal Plan Agreement, either Commuter or Residential, meal plans may be changed within a given time frame.
Can I use a meal at any dining location?
Each meal swipe must be used in the Dining Hall.
How do I know how many dining dollars I have?
You may obtain the information at any cash register in our dining locations or you can login to the ETSU ID Services webpage.
Do Dining Dollars roll over to the next semester or next year?
Unused dining dollars at the end of fall semester rolls forward to the spring semester; however, unused dining dollars at the end of the spring semester are forfeited.
When can I use my Anytime Dining plan?
7 days a week during operating hours at the Dining Hall, during the academic year with some restrictions at selected holidays and breaks
What if I have special dietary needs or food allergies?
Students with special dietary needs or food allergies are encouraged to meet directly with Dining Services staff to discuss and prepare a plan to meet your needs. Our Registered Dietician is available for questions. See: Meet the Team
What if I run out of dining dollars?
Students wishing to add additional currency to their Student ID may add Flex Dollars throughout the semester by visiting our website at etsu.sodexomyway.com and clicking on the Shop Now tab.
Will dining services be available during breaks and holidays?
Yes, there will be service available, but with limited options and hours. Please check our social media pages on Instagram (@ETSUEATS) or on Facebook (ETSU Dining) to view all special hours or emergency schedule changes that may occur.
How do I arrange a meal, if I am sick?
A student who is ill may arrange to have a meal prepared for them and picked up by a roommate or friend from dining services. The student should contact their Resident Advisor for assistance arranging their sick meals.
